I’m sure after your holiday shopping this season you’ve noticed Brooklyn Industries on Walnut Street. Although they haven’t opened yet and don’t plan to until late February-early March… I’ve got the skinny.
The new Philly location will mark the brands 13th store, expanding its base from Manhattan and Brooklyn as well as Chicago and Portland. I’m not exactly sure why or when they decided to pursue a venture in Philly, but their style and location couldn’t fit better. Right in the heart of Center City shopping, colleges and tourist attractions their mix between Urban Outfitters and American Apparel is suitable to almost anyone who walks into the shop.
Brooklyn Industries in Philadelphia will offer both men’s and women’s lifestyle collections, which includes outerwear, bags, clothing and accessories. Some of my favorites include..
The Lexington Tote… so sleek, so androgynous.. whether it’s a picnic in the park, an art class or a day at the office it’s perfect to ‘tote’ your essentials around.
Dinolocal M Tee.. not only does 20% of proceeds benefit “Just Food”, but it promotes eating locally, and we all know the talent of our local Philly Chefs!!
The Norfolk Jacket.. first of all, I need this jacket.. Brooklyn Industries’ mix between Chanel Chic and Bomber Jacket with super soft wool, lantern sleeves and oversized collar have me obsessing!
“With the long and narrow space resembling an art gallery, Brooklyn Industries’ store design team will pay homage to visionary artist Marcel Duchamp in the form of a mini-museum in a semi-permanent art installation for the grand opening.”
Also, in celebration of their grand opening, they will be showcasing photography of street fashion. Where are these photographers finding said street fashion?… yeah, you guessed it.. the streets of Philadelphia! So stay stylish, stay fresh.. you never know where your picture will end up!
