PHILADELPHIA, USA —
Earlier this month, OnlyInPhiladelphia did a photo blog on 10 Philly Auto Show Concepts coming this year to the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The Philadelphia International Auto Show opened yesterday for the media, but today it is now open to the public. It will start this morning and run through February 7th. The 10th Philly Auto Show is sponsored by the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia.

“This is the 108th Philadelphia Auto Show and we are particularly thrilled with the caliber of this year’s event,” said Dominic M. Conicelli, chairman of the 2010 Philadelphia International Auto Show and president of Conicelli Autoplex. “It’s no secret that 2009 was a historic year for the automotive industry and auto shows across the country were faced with new challenges. However, to our satisfaction and delight, we are ecstatic to be delivering another world-class auto show to the city of Philadelphia. Nearly every manufacturer will be back on the display floor and new features will also be present!”
There will be 250,000 attendees estimated at this years show, checking out all 700 vehicles and 2000 doors at the three-story Pennsylvania Convention Center throughout the week. There will be 550,000 square feet of total area highlighting antiques vehicles , concepts, exotics and alternative fuel vehicles.
“Luckily, the 2010 event managed to shake off much of that old oversized showroom feeling.” writes Evan Acuna of Conceptcarz.com. “The cars were fresher, the displays were more impressive, and the domestic brands as a whole put on a better show than they have in years.”
This year’s Philadelphia International Auto Show features DUB Live! with a 35,000-ft display of the newest custom rides rides, including celebrity custom rides sponsored by DUB.

The wild rides of DUB Magazine might be a fresh breath of air from the environmentally friendly and ‘green’ cars of most new models, with lifted trucks, lowered sports cars, muscle cars, and exotics. The blaring hip-hop could get annoying after some time though.
There will be special guest celebrity appearances: Philadelphia Phillies Third Baseman Placido Polanco will do Q&A on Saturday, January 30th, 3:00p.m. – 5:00p.m.; Former Philadelphia Eagles All-pro defensive end Hugh Douglas on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the AAA Insurance booth; Philadelphia Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel Wednesday, February 3rd, 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.Philadelphia Eagles Kicker David Akers on Thursday, February 4th, 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.; NBA legend Darryl Dawkins “Chocolate Thunder” at the AutoTrader.com booth on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
