[OnlyInPhiladelphia.com] – The Villanova Wildcats (23-4) were reportedly more worried about weather conditions on the way over to Syracuse than the game against the Syracuse Orangemen (26-2). An NCAA record for on-campus attendees at the Carrier Dome awaits the Wildcats this Saturday night.

The game is absolutely huge here in the Big East and all around the NCAA and will be aired on national television at the largest domed stadium on a college campus in the Northeast United States.

Syracuse Orangemen officials say that 34,616 tickets have been sold for tonight’s game, on @ 9 p.m. ET, beating the previous record of 33,633 was set in 2006, when the Cuse hosted none other than– Villanova.

So, it’s apparent that Villanova is a big deal in the Cuse.

Being the largest on-campus basketball arena, the Orangemen fans are going to be ready, and are expected to be loud.

Historically, Nova has owned Cuse, winning 4-of-5 meetings. Big East fans are suggesting a Syracuse victory by a slim margin in a classic upset.
