PHILADELPHIA, PA –[ONLYINPHILADELPHIA]–On Tuesday afternoon at about 4:45pm a mob of 150 teens showed up for a fight in front of the Gallery Mall. Police think that this fight was arranged through a social networking site.
The mob was chased out by mall security guards, which these kids rampaged through the local Macy’s department store knocking over things in their path and damaging several hundreds of dollars worth of items reported by the Central Detectives.
The mob consisted of students from both Simon Gratz and Benjamin Franklin High Schools, ranging from the age 14 – 17.
The mob continued on with destruction as they headed towards City Hall. Stopping traffic and pedestrians by pelting them with snow balls, leaving some people injured and even hospitalized.
This left the people in their path afraid and dramatized, since they were in shock and disbelief to be around such a sudden riot of people.
The cops had arrested about 15 people in the ordeal, charging them with disorderly conduct and rioting. Some say they were filming this for a upcoming event.
