[OnlyInPhiladelphia.com]— Lower Merion Area School District on the Main Line has retaliated against the alleged webcam scandal.
Who else more appropriate than Lower Merion Vice Principal, Lynn Matsko, who was accused by the family of Blake Robbins of using his webcam photographs to abuse him for questionable gestures down in his own home.
“If I believed anyone was spying on either of my children in our home, I too would be outraged!” Matsko vigorously stated.
Lower Merion School district now has an entire section of their webpage devoted to laptop security updates.
“The District had already disabled the security feature in all student laptops and has demonstrated good faith in its continued cooperation with the Federal inquiry,” the laptop security page stated on Feb. 22.
Asst. Principal Lynn Matsko, made an on-the-air statement earlier today in defense of the accusations made in the lawsuit, and ruthlessly defended herself as she read from a statement.
“At no point in time did I have the ability to access any webcam through security tracking software.” Matsko asserted in a terse tone.
And clearly, Matsko resents being singled-out as a scapegoat to the international media and blogosphere.
“I find the allegations and implications that I have or ever would engage in such conduct to be offensive, abhorrent, and outrageous.”
Although this type of case is among the first in high schools utilizing the eyes of the laptops to spy on their students outside of school property, some believe government wants to widespread it’s usage.
Radio host Alex Jones thinks that this case may have deeper roots than at local education department in Philadelphia.
“Google of all groups put out a press release, they are just throwing it in our face like we’re so stupid we’ll just accept it if they just put this 1984 development right on the table, kind of hidden in plain view.” Alex Jones told Russia Today.
“Google said they were launching software where the microphone and video cameras that are on all new computers in the last 4-5 years it’s been put in all the new systems, where they watch you and listen to you using keyword software because they can’t have millions of people physically listening and transcribing, it’s NSA-Espionage type systems. If a dog is barking, Google pops ads up on your screen for dog food or dog toys or dog treats. That’s the example that Google itself used.”
“Three years ago I discovered the federal government, through grants, is paying all over the US for public schools, even private schools, and is giving them taxpayer funded laptops enabled with this software and encouraging the schools to watch them [students] in the school and when they are at home,” he said.
