Today is a sad day in the world of hip hop, it was today March 9th 1997 that the Notorious BIG real name Christopher Wallace was shot down coming out of a club at around 12:30 Pm. He was in San Francisco California promoting his new Cd Life after Death. His trip to California was to squash the whole East coast West Coast rivalry. Former East Coast super star Tupac Shakur was shot down months before leaving a Mike Tyson fight.

Biggie will be forever remembered for his great rap hits including, Juicy, Big Poppa, and Suicidal Thoughts. Biggie was always rapping about death and where he would go when he died. He seemed to understand that in the game he was in death was inevitable.
Until this day no one knows for sure who shot BIG and the investigation is closed. Conspiracy theorists say that it was actually Tupacs boss Shug night avenging the death of Shakur. What actually happened will never be known but the hip hop world has definitely came together over the past decade to make sure hip hop never gets out of control like this again.
