PHILADELPHIA, USA [OnlyInPhiladelphia.com] – You don’t have to wait until May 5th to experience Cinco de’ Mayo in Philly. The popular Mexican holiday is coming to Philadelphia a few days early with the third annual “March of the Sombreros” in Old City on Saturday, May 1st from 6pm to midnight.
Eight locations will feature a Mexican theme (with each spot focusing on a specific, popular Mexican destination) and spectacular drink specials, with $3 Dos XX, $3 Juarez Margaritas, and $5 El Mayor drinks. Free sombreros will be given out, as Mexican costumes are encouraged. Giveaways and prizes, including a new I-Pod Touch, will be awarded. The Lodge upstairs at Mad River will also feature a special costume contest starting at 11:30pm. Of course, winners will be showered with giveaways and prizes.
Participating bars and restaurants include Buffalo Billiards, Mad River, Mint, Plough and the Stars, National Mechanics, Q BBQ & Tequila, Gigi, and Grey Lounge, with Buffalo Billiards being the home base of the event, sponsored by philly2night.
