SOUTH FLORIDA — May 29th, 2010 Roy Halladay has made history by pitching a perfect game against the Marlins in Florida.  This is the second ever perfect game in Philadelphia Franchise history.

Roy Halladay throws perfect game!

The last perfect game was Jim Bunning on June 21, 1964(46 years ago) at Shay Stadium on Father’s Day!  Major League Baseball has had only 20 perfect games pitched in the lifetime of baseball!

Roy had pitched 27 batters and retired every single one!  Great job Mr. Halladay!

The Phillies beat the Marlins 1 -0.  We needed this confidence boost after the Mets’ series.

Although this happened in South Florida this is still a great time to say, “ONLY IN PHILADELPHIA!”
