PHILADELPHIA – May 12th, 2010 – Smoothie King, the originator of the nutritional fruit smoothie, is pleased to announce the second Pennsylvania store opening in Philadelphia early this summer. The new location is underway and will be opening soon inside Market East Terminal between the Philadelphia Convention Center and the Gallery Mall.

Chris Whitaker, who relocated to Philadelphia from Tampa, Florida, has a personal passion for living a healthy lifestyle. He became a Smoothie King franchisee because he wanted a business opportunity that would not only provide a fun environment, but one that would also promote healthy living.

The decision of the new location came from Chris, due to the demand of the products from Philly locals.
