Celebrating five years as the area’s largest environmental event GreenFest Philly returns to the South Street / Headhouse Square District for a fashion-themed event. On September 12, 2010, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., the festival features more than 200 exhibitors, vegetarian food, live music and entertainment, kids activities, and the eco exchange fashion show and clothing swap. Each year more than 20,000 people attend this free one-day street fair.
Highlighting everything from sewing buttons to buying second hand to purchasing a sustainable, wardrobe, this year’s theme is fashion. Featuring a fashion show and clothing swap, GreenFest Philly will emphasize the importance of supporting our local thrift stores, buying organic fabrics, and recycling your closet.
