2010 was a year to remember for Philadelphia fans. In a year where no championships were brought home it could still be one of the most memorable.  It was a year of change in all of the four major sports in the City of Brotherly Love. New faces were shining bright not just in our city but nationwide.

The Flyers young team won the final game of their season in a shootout just to edge into the playoffs. After falling back 3 games to nothing against the Boston Bruins they fought back to tie the series 3-3 forcing a game seven in Boston. In ironic fashion they allowed Boston to score three goals in the first period of game seven, but once again skated their way back to victory and a chance at the Stanley Cup. Unfortunately the Chicago Blackhawks finish the historical run, but no one will forget the heart they showed. The Flyers have continued to show they are a contender and are playing some top tier hockey this season. The 76ers started off the season horrendously but regrouped around their youth showing they are a tough team with a lot of talent.  Coach Doug Collins has the capability to rebuild this team, and with youth like Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner there nowhere to go but forward.

The expectations were set to the highest level for the Phillies. The Phils fell short in the playoffs failing to reach The World Series. Even though there was disappointment in that aspect, many positives can be taken from the 2010 season.  Jason Werth signed with the Washington Nationals leaving a hole in the batting order and at right field. Hopefully the young Dominic Brown can step up and lead the platoon of players that will share time at that position.  Roy Halladay lived up to his reputation throwing a perfect game in the regular season and a no hitter against the Reds in the first round of playoffs. The addition of Roy Oswalt later in the season was a huge upgrade. Cliff Lee resigning in the off season made the Phillies 2010 season as good as it could have been without bringing home a title.

No one knew what to expect this season for the Eagles. Donovan McNabb was released after being the face of the franchise for eleven years.  Kevin Kolb took over in week one looking horrible, and had to be removed after a hit by Clay Matthews left him with a concussion.  Micheal Vick stepped in and has brought The Eagles their first division title since 2006. He has been more than a handful for defenders, and a leader to the young players that follow his direction. With the NFL playoffs underway, Vick has a chance to do what no other Eagle quarterback has done.  His arm and legs have a chance to bring the Lombardi trophy to Philly for the first time.
