Put your fancy pants on, Philly.  The new Hotel Monaco is set to open this summer in Olde City. The project comes to you from the Kimtpton Hotel Group.  They are an upscale chain of boutique hotels with locations across the country and one in our own backyard, The Palomar Hotel at 17th and Sansom.  Smack dab at the intersection of 5th and Chestnut, the hotel will boast views of the Center City skyline and Independence Mall.    The historic Lafayette Building is currently under renovation, being transformed into the future four star hotel.  The office building turned Monaco will feature 168 guest rooms (+17 Suites), a 130 seat restaurant (floor level) and most importantly, a roof top bar.  I can see the amazing views now, with martini in hand.
